Start fresh.

That’s our theme of the day.

I’m certain that by next week, the thrill will have worn off.  But for today, we’re fairly excited about the new design and fresh start to The Frozen Man.

We’d been thinking about it for a while… we being myself, William and Tristan.  Unfortunately, we had been slacking off on our writing and decided to jump-start our creative juices (so to speak).  William has been working on a novel and Tristan has been equally busy with what is proving to be a serious relationship.  As for myself, well, life keeps getting in the way of my writing.  Between a fairly serious family illness and my constant desire to zone-out via video games… well, suffice it to say my writing has been all but non-existant.

The thing is, this site has afforded us a lot of freedom and practice.  We all miss that.

A lot of work went into the new Frozen Man.  I won’t take credit for all of it, as I started out with a purchased template.  The problem arose when the template did not fit my needs perfectly and I was forced to dive into the Photoshop and HTML files to make the necessary changes.  I then had to integrate the new CMS into this template and change the outside files (such as the member’s pages, search functions and galleries).

I won’t go into that boring stuff any more than that however.  Suffice it to say, this was not an overnight change.

That being said, the only thing left to do is pump in some content now.  In addition to writing some poetry and various features, I will try to maintain this blog.  I don’t anticipate it will have much of a theme, but that never stopped me from expressing my opinions.
